Objective 10: Lifelong Learning

 

Contribute to the service-centered focus of the university in promoting intellectual, ethical, social, and cultural professional growth to enrich one’s own life and the lives of others and in preparation for functioning professionally in a variety of entry-level practice settings.

 

Leadership and Learning (BSW)

 

Rationale:

 

For this objective, I chose to share some of the comments made about my leadership abilities from some of my colleagues. I think their words are not only touching, but support the idea that I am a capable leader who strives to promote professional growth. Further, I feel that being able to honestly and effectively evaluate one's self is part of the process of being a positive asset, in that one cannot contribute fully if they are not aware of their strengths, weaknesses and talents. I believe the above assessment also shows my willingness and ability to reflect upon my areas of growth, as well as my areas of weakness.
