Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.

Objective #8: Teamwork
Function as a professional, collaborative, and supportive team member in implementing agency mission and functions.
TBI Patients and Anger (BSW)
Self-Exploration (BSW)
Antisocial Personality Disorder (MSSW)
Rationale:
During the 2008 Spring Semester at my internship at Partnership, I was assigned, along with my colleague, David, to create a presentation and educate clients on anger management issues that patients with traumatic brain injury sometimes suffer with. As David and I worked diligently to tailor a presentation to our client base, we assigned various roles to each other so that we could function cohesively but on different areas of our assignment. Not only was our presentation a success, but my collegue and I were able to work hand-in-hand to complete our task in a timely manner. This assignment proved to be challenging but rewarding as our clients seemed to enjoy and learn from the topics we covered.
During my Junior year, I completed a semester-long project with two other classmates which involved designing a group curriculum for an agency in Chattanooga. As a group, we decided that we would focus on the topic of Self-Exploration and host a group session with some young women at Bethel Bible Village. While the girls were initally reluctant to join us, in the end, the skills we developed through our interviewing class helped us to win them over.
One of my most recent assignments, completed in an Introduction to Psychopathology course, entailed exploring various aspects of a clinical disorder of my group's choosing. We focused on antisocial personality disorder and explained the etiology, prevelance, and research statistics associated with APD.
